Meet Mat Dann

Mat Dann is an LA based comedian, actor and writer. He got his feet wet at Boston’s Improv Asylum before making his way west to Los Angeles where he became a cast member of the prestigious Groundling’s Sunday Co. He also trained and preformed with The Actor's Gang and UCB. Mat has had the opportunity to study under the tutelage of Jim Rash, Tim Robbins, Jack Plotnick and Arthur Mendoza of Stellar Adler.

Mat has been a comic and producer at The Hollywood Improv, Mic Drop San Diego and Soho House (West Hollywood, DTLA, Malibu and Austin). He was the winner of The Comedy Store's Sketch Fest and the LA Film Fest with his short FIVE STARS. In January 2023 Mat was a headlining comedian at Sno Jam in Sioux Falls, SD and over the the summer featured for Trae Crowder, The Liberal Redneck, at the Vermont Comedy Club in Burlington.

Mat's TV credits include playing the House Manager on Hulu's Welcome to Chippendale's and 911 on FOX/ABC. He's shared scenes with actor Peter Krause, Academy Award nominees Juliette Lewis and Angela Bassett amongst others.

Mat is one half of a writing team along with his partner Teddy Gilmore. They've had both pilots and screenplays place as semi finalists and finalists in multiple film festivals. They are currently shopping their screenplay Blackout Wednesday.

Mat is also the creator and one half of the Scaredy Cats ghost hunting team with fellow Scaredy Cat, Brian O'Hara.
